We are excited to announce a new Visual Arts Mentorship for BIPOC artists held as part of the Youth Week WA Kickstart Festival!
This mentorship program has been designed specifically for young BIPOC visual artists who have faced barriers to further develop their art practice in drawing, printmaking or painting.
Over a 2-day intensive program, a group of young artists looking to expand their skills and knowledge will learn from professional visual artists:
* Mark Tweedie
* Andy Quilty
* Camilla Loveridge
We’re also proud to introduce Tyrown Waigana, Wandandi Noongar (Aboriginal) and Ait Koedhal (Torres Strait Islander), multidisciplinary artist and graphic designer, who will be the lead mentor for the young artists throughout the 2-day program.
