INFO: This workshop is for teachers to book a creative excursion for their high school class.
As a Lester Prize 2025 Finalist and teacher at John Curtin for the Arts, artist Anne McCaughey invites students to take photos from different angles with their ipad or Smart phone and viewpoints whilst utilizing the natural lighting, and then create one or two finished drawings in charcoal and chalk.
Students will begin developing a piece from their own reference photo (a ‘selfie”) or from a photo or picture provided.
From this, students will learn angles, sizing up features of the face, perspective, shading, drawing techniques
