Create a value study from a reference image to determine if planned work will be readable. By creating a value study, we organise composition and value in an efficient way that will allow for more seamless work going forward.

In this workshop, 2024 Lester Prize Finalist Kristina Lynch will guide participants to work on simple image transfer to canvas paper, mixing a 5-value scale, identifying shapes within the reference image, and matching shapes to values on our scale.
