In this short workshop we will have a very brief look at key drawing information and techniques that make expressive portrait painting easier. How to see the big shapes, finding the construction of the head, moving from line to mass as soon as possible.

We will then look at a very simple and effective approach to colour mixing. We will mix a basic dark flesh tone and a basic light, then work into other tones and colours as time permits.
