THE LESTER PRIZE invites you to join us for a live portraiture event in the heart of the city.

Come and watch our Alumni artists from across WA paint our celebrity sitter over three hours. Our MC is well-known and loved Perth entertainer, Libby Hammer. The winning artwork will be judged by our sitter and MC, and the winning artist will receive a complimentary overnight stay at Alex Hotel. 

About our sitter – Joe White
Two years in a row Fringe World Festival best comedy award-winning comedian Joe White (formal name Tilahun Hailu), is one of six siblings born to Ethiopian parents Yezina and Mulu. Amidst love, heartbreak, failure and success, Joe has always tried to find the upside in life and this has been his inspiration for pursuing comedy. He has experienced many hardships in life and this has taught him the value of laughter in life. Now his passion is to make others laugh too!
